WHAT ARE PVC MATERIALS?
Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) is one of the most widely used polymers in the world. Due to its versatile nature PVC is a material that offers many possible applications, these include; window frames, drainage pipe, water service pipe, medical devices, blood storage bags, cable and wire insulation, resilient flooring, roofing membranes, stationary, automotive interiors and seat coverings, fashion and footwear, packaging, cling film, credit cards, vinyl records, synthetic leather and other coated fabrics.
PVC is a very durable and long lasting material, it can be flexible i.e. used in flooring and medical products or it can be made rigid (also known as PVC-U) for use in building/ construction materials.

OTHER SYNTHETIC MATERIALS USED IN THE PRINTING INDUSTRY
TPR (Thermoplastic Rubber) is a blend of rubber and plastics, that’s the reason of it’s excellent physical flexible properties. Some of the outstanding features exhibited by TPR material include flexibility, good tear resistance, reusability, recyclability, and good abrasion resistance. It’s environment friendly.
TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) on the other hand, possesses a different chemical structure that allows it more flexibility and durability than the traditional PVC material. They can be used as a soft engineering plastic or as a replacement for hard rubber.
PU (Polyurethane layer) has less layers, making it more pliable and flexible to work with. It can even wrinkle and stain like natural leather would.
